Magazine Layout

During my internship at CBRLife media. I did a layout design for their 16th issue. They had a graphic designer for their magazine before, but unfortunately, he was ill at that time. My supervisor wants me to try it, so I took over it.

Client requirements

Based on the template of pervious magazine before. Keep the whole style as previous magazine before. Keep previous font at each section. Check the whole file before print, and ensure no spelling mistakes and no layout mistakes in each article.

It is quite simple and easy for me to finish this work. Because there is less part for me to design with. What I need to do is using the previous template, copy and paste the new article in InDesign.

I received all the templates and fonts for the magazine. Because that is the bilingual magazine, there are two templates for me, one is for English, and the other one is for Chinese. When I finish my layout design, package the whole file, and send the PDF version to print company.

I found that I needed to be careful about controlling the number of pages, keep the number of page is a multiple of 4. So that we can ensure there are not white pages for final PDF.
